After the sort the donation pile grew quite large.  All of items in the lower right corner are being donated to a local charity

Garage Design Criteria: Utilize vertical space.  The higher the shelf the less frequently used the item.  Co-locate like items.  Make sure bikes are accessible to those who use them.
